Here is information from Doug about Benny's eye and why he needed surgery:
"He had Entropion on his left eye. It caused his lower eyelid to grow inward
causing his eyelashes to constantly rub against the eye. It's why he was always
squinting with that eye(giving him that popeye look) and why that eye was so
watery all the time. You can imagine the discomfort this would cause that he had
been living with his whole life. It was actually a rather simple procedure that
my vet was able to do while he was under getting neutered. He's now fully healed
and I can tell he's feeling much better and has done wonders for his overall
disposition. For the first time in his life he has both eyes wide open.
